Ashlar
Our faux ashlar combines the color and texture of granite with a striking pattern of stonework reminiscent of the age-old traditions of highly skilled stonemasons.
The Romans built their aqueducts from a combination of granite ashlar blocks and bricks used in successive horizontal bands crossing each pillar.
Backyard Boulders designed and constructed our own version of a Roman Aqueduct (including the artificial rock fountain) for a client in 2008. This vertical application of our granite ashlar shows an excellent example for the flexibility of our stamped concrete products.
